Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Mooresville, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. This position requires strong blueprint-reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently produce close-tolerance parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

• Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets.

• Perform machine setup for new production runs.

• Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and indicators.

• Make tool offset adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.

• Maintain production and quality documentation.

• Follow ISO quality standards and all company safety procedures.

• Perform preventive maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.

• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and quality personnel to ensure production goals are met.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Swiss experience (have operated Citizen or Star Swiss machines)

• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.

• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments.

• Basic math skills including decimals, fractions, and trigonometry.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar CNC controls.

• Swiss experience (have operated Citizen or Star Swiss machines)
