Associate Director of Career Readiness, Office of Career Services

Associate Director of Career Readiness and Education The Associate Director reports to the Director of Career Services and is responsible for managing career readiness education, career advising and internship programs. The role includes assessing the efficiency and impact of these initiatives, developing policies, quality assurance of all career readiness education, and working across Kean’s New Jersey campus locations. Responsibilities Develop and increase student internship enrollment and post‑graduation hiring outcomes. Manage a caseload of students and embed career and internship opportunities into courses and academic programs. Act on behalf of the director in their absence and perform related duties as required. Assist with overall development of policies, assessment, and quality assurance of all career readiness education. Travel to campus locations, employer sites and other locations, requiring a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and at least two years of professional experience in career services, student advising, student support services, human resources, workforce development, adult education programs or a related field. Supervisory experience is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Excellent customer service skills, oral and written communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft365 (Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Canvas, Handshake, uConnect or other career systems/platforms is a plus. Ability to travel to Kean’s campus locations, employer sites and other locations. Salary and Benefits In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for this position is: $81,000 to $95,000. The position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan, and work‑life balance benefits.
