CDL DELIVERY DRIVER
Viking Lumber
Material Delivery Specialist
Basic Function: To deliver building materials and products to and from customer job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Load, deliver, and unload company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices to include lifting and carrying merchandise, lumber, and building materials.
- Prepare customer orders to include retrieving merchandise and materials from storage areas in accordance with customer invoices.
- Operate fork lift to load, unload, and stock merchandise as needed.
- Adhere to all approved company policies and procedures.
- Report customer complaints to Manager.
- Inventory goods and notify Manager of shortages and needed goods to be ordered.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Removal & shoveling of snow from material piles and yard during winter months
Skills:
- Customer service
- Basic math skills
- Basic reading skills
- Lifting up to 100 pounds
Education/Training: Experience:
- Class B or A License required
- Prior lumber yard experience
- Prior building materials experience helpful
- Experience operating boom truck and equipment
Certifications/Licenses: Fork Lift
Position Reports to: Dispatcher / Store Manager
Mon - Fri 7:00a - 5:00p Rotational Saturdays 7:00a - 12pm 45+
