Vice President of Engineering (Houston)

We are seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead all engineering functions for a growing mobile power generation company specializing in the design, manufacture, and deployment of modular gas turbine power packages. Reporting to the executive team, you will oversee Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Product Engineering while driving innovation, product development, and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Structural Engineering.
• Oversee the design and development of mobile gas turbine power packages from concept through deployment.
• Develop engineering strategy, product roadmaps, and standardization initiatives.
• Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Field Services to deliver customer projects.
• Drive continuous improvement, engineering quality, and technical excellence.
• Manage engineering budgets, resources, and talent development.
• Support customer engagement, technical reviews, and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of engineering experience within power generation or rotating equipment.
• 7+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience with gas turbine packaging, distributed power, or mobile power generation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred

• Experience with aeroderivative gas turbines (LM2500, LM6000, LM9000, Solar, or Siemens).
• Background in manufacturing, product development, and field commissioning.
• PE license or MBA is a plus.
