Role Description This on-site Direct Support Professional role is located in Lake Zurich, IL and has openings for morning, afternoon and overnight shifts with potential for full time hours. The Direct Support Professional provides hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities such as personal care, meals, mobility, and hygiene, while promoting independence and choice. The role involves monitoring health and safety, documenting services and observations, and communicating promptly with nursing and supervisory staff about changes in status or needs. The Direct Support Professional also helps create a respectful, inclusive environment by building positive relationships, encouraging social interaction, and following all policies, training, and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to work effectively with individuals, families, and team members. Knowledge of Intellectual Disabilities and experience or interest in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Ability to participate in and apply Training related to safety, direct care, and agency procedures. Reliability in following care plans, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements. Capacity to perform the physical aspects of direct care (e.g., assisting with transfers, mobility, and emergencies) with or without reasonable accommodation.
