About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a float pool capacity, rotating across multiple Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments, including travel to additional metro campuses as needed
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias, and manage appropriate clinical responses including emergency interventions
• Care for patients presenting with conditions including stroke, sepsis, renal failure, GI bleed, AFIB, ETOH, SI, COVID, and wound care needs
• Perform pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care and support cardiovascular patient management
• Fulfill holiday shift and Charge RN assignments as required by the unit
• Complete a minimum of 8 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period, across Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday

• Active RN license; both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience in a Med/Surg, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, or Neuro Stepdown setting
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry unit monitoring
• Familiarity with technology including Virtual Nurses platforms, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell
• Candidate's home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted

• Current ACLS certification
• Experience with sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, and port access
• Proficiency in blood product administration and central line care and management
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR systems
