This is a 6+ month contract position based in Anderson and/or Clemson, SC.🛠️ Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the design, installation, and maintenance of system software for mission-critical environments.Ensure optimal system performance by tuning, monitoring capacity, and maintaining stability. (35%)Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior systems programmers. (20%)Collaborate with other departments and serve as a technical resource. (20%)Participate in an on-call rotation and follow CCIT standards and industry best practices. (15%)Support research and development projects as needed. (10%)✅ Required Skills & QualificationsExtensive experience with Linux, UNIX, and related technologies.Strong ability to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize system software and operations.Certifications such as RHCT, RHCE, or equivalent are highly desirable.Proficient in scripting and automation.Effective communication skills (written and verbal).Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, time management, and adaptability.Ability to work well under pressure, be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.🌐 Preferred Technical SkillsRHEL, Linux, BASH, SSHSaltStack, SNMP, SVN, C Programming🎓 Minimum Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Hands-on experience with enterprise-level Linux systems.
