Our Manitowoc manufacturing client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This key role will support the Controller by overseeing general ledger activities, managing month-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting experience, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement. Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Lead month-end close activities, including consolidations and financial reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end profit and loss, balance sheet, and financial analyses
• Analyze operating and financial results and prepare reports
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts
• Ensure compliance with revenue recognition requirements and manage deferred revenue accounts
• Coordinate and support audit activities
• Establish, maintain, and improve internal controls and accounting processes
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve efficiency, and support special projects as assigned

Requirements for Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of progressive accountant experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
