Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Senior Infrastructure Engineer We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance enterprise infrastructure platforms for a major banking client. The role is responsible for maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure environments across servers, databases, middleware, networking, and cloud platforms. Location & Hours Multiple sites: Cleveland, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX. 5 days onsite. Key Responsibilities Manage and support enterprise infrastructure environments across Linux/Unix and Windows servers, virtualized and cloud platforms, and middleware/application hosting. Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability; troubleshoot incidents and performance bottlenecks. Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure components and implement automation and operational improvements. Collaborate with application, database, network, security, and DevOps teams to ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams. Support disaster recovery, backup, and high‑availability strategies and participate in on‑call support rotations. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred). 5+ years experience administering Linux/Unix and Windows servers. 5+ years experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools. Strong proficiency in Sysdig, shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python), and server provisioning/configuration management. Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls) and enterprise storage/backup solutions. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and support for enterprise applications and middleware platforms. Experience with database environments (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL). Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills. Experience in high‑availability, mission‑critical environments and RCA. Desired Skills Experience in banking or financial services industry. Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms. Experience with Kubernetes and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or Prometheus.
