Sterile Processing Technician

$1251.20/week - Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for sterilizing, decontaminating, and assembling surgical instruments to ensure safety and readiness for various medical procedures within a busy trauma and teaching hospital. The role requires adherence to strict sterilization protocols and flexibility to float between facilities as needed. Responsibilities: Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments according to industry standards. Ensure all sterilized equipment meets safety and quality requirements before distribution to clinical staff. Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards during all phases of processing. Float within scope to meet the needs of sister facilities, including CSC, Main, or West Campus. Document sterilization procedures accurately and maintain detailed records for compliance. Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate timely instrument availability and readiness. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing or surgical instrument processing. Certification such as CBSPD or HSPAL is preferred. Proven experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, or GYN cases is highly desirable. Strong understanding of sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
