Mental Health Provider (Psychiatric PA or NP) - Milwaukee, WI

Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric care, including evaluations, follow-ups, and urgent/emergent consultations to individuals with mental health needs. Document and navigate the electronic health record ("EHR") independently and in a timely manner. Maintain strict client confidentiality. Participate in the creation of individualized treatment plans after discussing the case with the mental‑health care team, collecting and reviewing psychosocial data, medical history, nursing assessment and other pertinent information. Evaluate patients for the need for a higher level of care, including hospitalization. Provide patient education, specifically around medication and treatment adherence, and after‑care services. Work closely with a supervising physician to ensure improved patient outcomes and high‑quality care. Diagnose and treat patients from diverse backgrounds in a respectful manner. Collaborate with clinical leadership, billing and compliance to ensure accurate and appropriate documentation. Qualifications Must hold current license/registration to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion. Ability to maintain highly confidential information. Working Conditions Standard office environment with occasional travel to client locations. The role may involve evening or weekend hours to accommodate client schedules and potential exposure to stressful situations and emergency scenarios. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for 3-4 hours at a time between patient care and documentation. Fine finger coordination required for typing and using a computer mouse for documentation. Ability to speak clearly so others can understand. Ability to hear and understand others when speaking. Ability to view a computer screen monitor and handle small objects at a few feet away.
