Inventory Associate

Join a growing manufacturing team as a Material Handler / Warehouse Associate, where you will receive, store, and dispatch materials and products to support production and shipping operations. You will maintain accurate inventory, organize warehouse space, and operate material handling equipment while following strict safety and quality standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be 10-20 hours overtime available weekly.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming products and materials in a timely and accurate manner.
• Accurately pick items from inventory according to pick lists or customer orders.
• Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
• Manage, organize, and retrieve stock to support production and shipping schedules.
• Inspect products for defects and damages and report issues promptly.
• Organize warehouse space to maximize efficiency and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse systems and tools, including RF scanners.
• Check, verify, and fill customer invoices and ensure order accuracy.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, including trucks and other delivery vehicles.
• Adhere to company quality standards and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with team members and leads to meet daily production and shipping goals.
• Participate in training and development activities to improve skills and support continuous improvement.
• Perform other warehouse and material handling duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a similar material handling role.
• Proficiency with inventory activities such as picking, packing, material handling, and order fulfillment.
• Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks such as standing and walking for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a picker/packer in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Background in shipping and receiving operations.
• Comfort working on a manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Willingness to follow detailed safety and quality procedures.
• Interest in learning new skills and growing into roles such as quality, machine operation, or leadership.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand-new manufacturing facility that will accommodate approximately 200-250 people at full headcount. The role is on 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The first week the job is dedicated to training before you are assigned to your team, with a ratio of about five producers to one lead to ensure strong support and development. The work takes place on a manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures, and requires standing or walking for long periods and occasionally lifting 25-50 lbs. The dress code includes steel-toed boots and safety glasses (provided), along with long pants made of thicker material (no leggings) and either long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves, which the company will help supply. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
