Budget Formulation and Executive Strategy Coordinator

Overview Amyx is looking for an experienced Finance – Budget Formulation and Executive Strategy Coordinator Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the DHS appropriations process, working directly or indirectly with Congressional Appropriators, OMB Examiners, and/or DHS strategy teams. Responsibilities In this role the ideal candidate will provide executive strategy and guidance to promote the client’s finance and budget strategy.The ideal candidate must be a SME in DHS finance and budget formulation processes to develop strategies and plans to direct activities by best practices and frameworks in support of the client’s strategic financial activities. Qualifications Position RequirementsMaster of Arts or Master of Science (MA/MS) degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience as well as a minimum of 5 years DHS Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) experience.DHS PPBE experience shall include:Development of strategic plans; Resource Allocation Plan (RAP) and Program Decision Options (PDOs); Office of Budget and Management Justification (OMBJ) and Congressional Justification (CJ) volumes, attachments, and artifacts; and Appropriation Committees' Technical Assistance requests.Development of tasks/responses for Congressional Appropriators, OMB, DHS strategy/policy teams, etc.Experience in the following areas including,Supporting the DHS appropriations process, working directly or indirectly with Congressional Appropriators, OMB Examiners, and/or DHS strategy teams.Drafting executive-level communications (e.g., talking points and briefings) with few edits required.Proven creative/outside-the-box thinker with the ability to identify problems and recommend alternatives and reasonable solutions.Leading budget formulation data collection and analysis, summarizing results, and producing reports codified for a specific audience.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Experience with SharePoint and program development tools as well as competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project, etc.Possess and retain a DHS Suitability clearance.Desirable CertificationsCompletion of DHS or DAU PPBE Courses, preferred.Benefits include:Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans (PPO & HSA options available)Flexible Spending Accounts (Health Care & Dependent Care FSA)Health Savings Account (HSA)401(k) with matching contributionsRothQualified Transportation Expense with matching contributionsShort Term DisabilityLong Term DisabilityLife and Accidental Death & DismembermentBasic & Voluntary Life InsuranceWellness ProgramPTO11 HolidaysProfessional Development ReimbursementPlease contact View email address on job-api.jobget.com with any questions!Amyx is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
