Warehouse LeadPay: $22.00 per hourEmployment Type: Contract-to-HirePosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and the training and development of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will have strong cycle-counting experience, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of warehouse and inventory-control best practices. This position will assist with inventory movement throughout the warehouse and parking areas, maintain accurate documentation of all transfers, and help ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. The Warehouse Lead will also support management with warehouse-related activities and operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesUnload incoming shipments and verify items against shipping recordsApply tracking labels to master cartonsMonitor inventory and report stock levels and discrepanciesOrganize inventory, place products in assigned locations, and accurately record VNA locationsConduct cycle counts and assist with the annual physical inventoryResearch and help resolve inventory discrepanciesCoordinate inventory transfers and other necessary material movementsLocate inventory for customer orders and internal work ordersPick and pack products accurately and efficientlyApply custom labels to individual items, inner cartons, and master cartonsPack orders and kitted items into the appropriate cartonsUpdate shipping documents and carton markings to meet customer specificationsAssemble, label, address, and prepare packages for shipmentPalletize and securely wrap productsLoad finished orders onto trucks for shipmentAssist with complex order-fulfillment activitiesHelp train and develop warehouse employeesMaintain adequate warehouse suppliesOperate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safelyMaintain the cleanliness, organization, safety, and physical integrity of the warehouseFollow all company policies, procedures, and warehouse safety requirementsPerform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisorQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of two years of related warehouse or inventory-control experienceStrong cycle-counting and inventory-reconciliation experiencePrevious warehouse lead or employee-training experience preferredKnowledge of forklift operations and warehouse safety practicesActive forklift certification preferred; must be willing and able to obtain required certificationsExperience using ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) softwareExperience using barcode scanners or other inventory-scanning equipment is a plusStrong math, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracyAbility to follow procedures and maintain accurate recordsValid California driver's licenseWorking Conditions and Physical RequirementsWork is primarily performed in a warehouse environmentExposure to moderate-to-high noise levelsAbility to stand, walk, reach, bend, and stoop throughout the workdayAbility to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to use a computer, keyboard, monitor, telephone, and warehouse equipment for extended periods as requiredCompensation and Growth Opportunity This position pays $22.00 per hour and offers the potential for a pay increase and conversion to a permanent staff position after successfully completing Marquee Staffing's required assignment hours. Conversion and pay increases are based on performance and business needs.
