Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 11.5 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid California License required Certifications: Nursing certifications as required for the specialty Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with pediatric post-surgical acute care - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Description: This position is for a pediatric post-surgical acute care floor. Candidates must be experienced in managing pediatric patients post-surgery. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, administering medications, and educating families. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential. Candidates must be able to adapt to varying patient care needs and take proactive measures in providing quality care. Staffing and scheduling are based on unit needs and patient ratios. Floats may be required based on staffing demands.
