Job Title: Safety Coordinator (El Patrimonio)

Project Location is San Antonio, TX.

Overview:

We’re seeking a Safety Coordinator to support utility-scale solar construction projects, with a focus on low and medium voltage electrical work. This role partners closely with field leadership to drive safety initiatives, ensure OSHA compliance, and promote a strong, proactive safety culture across multiple job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee safety practices on utility-scale solar construction projects
  • Partner with site leadership and foremen to identify hazards and implement safety controls
  • Conduct daily safety planning meetings and support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
  • Perform field audits, inspections, and observe crews for compliance
  • Enforce PPE requirements and safe work practices
  • Identify unsafe conditions and escalate corrective actions
  • Manage injury-related documentation, reporting, and follow-up
  • Promote OSHA and company safety standards across all teams

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of safety experience (construction or solar preferred)
  • Experience with utility-scale solar or large construction projects
  • Knowledge of low/medium voltage electrical safety
  • OSHA 30 required
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Experience with audits, inspections, and incident reporting
  • Strong communication and ability to work with field crews

Nice to Have:

  • OSHA 500 or advanced safety training
  • Prior experience with EPC construction teams
  • Experience in large-scale energy or infrastructure projects

Work Environment:

  • Field-based role on active solar construction sites
  • Outdoor work in varying conditions

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
