Overnight School Nurse Position

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience or interest in the school nursing setting is strongly desired
• Ability to work overnight hours, Sunday through Thursday from 11pm to 7am
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Adaptability and compassion in working with diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the overnight health and safety of residential students, responding promptly to medical issues and emergencies
• Provide medication administration, treatments, and monitoring in accordance with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students
• Collaborate with day shift nursing staff and educational team to ensure consistency in care
• Offer emotional support to students and assist with any health or hygiene needs during the night
• Uphold infection control standards and contribute to a safe school environment
