Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Inspect machined/molded parts to assure conformance to engineering drawings and/or other documentation.

- Document inspection results using manual and computer-based systems.

- Generate Material Non-Conformance reports for items not meeting specifications.

- Interface with personnel within the quality department regarding work assignments and priorities.

- Interface with personnel in engineering, manufacturing and sales to resolve any issues relating to specifications or non-conformances.

Previous experience in a precision mechanical inspection environment, such as a machine shop, molding shop or other fabrication/manufacturing company.

- Hands-on experience with common inspection tools such as:

- Micrometers; Calipers; Pin/Plug Gages; Ring Gages; Go/No Go Gages

- Height Gages; Profile Projectors; Profilometers; Surface Plates

- Experience working in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.

- High school diploma or equivalent (two years of college preferred), 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as a quality control inspector/technician.

- (Preferred)- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 60lbs
• standing for 3 hours at one time
