3rd Shift - Forklift Operator

About the Opportunity A forklift operator is responsible for safely moving, loading, and unloading materials throughout a warehouse or manufacturing facility using powered industrial trucks. The operator ensures materials are staged correctly for production, maintains accurate inventory movement, and performs routine equipment inspections to support efficient workflow, workplace safety, and smooth operation of daily manufacturing activities. Pay Rate & Schedule Pay Rate: $24-30/hr depending on department Work Hours: 6PM-6AM Schedule: 3-2-2-3 Job Duties (Manufacturing) Safely operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to move raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility. Load and unload trucks, pallets, and production lines while following weight limits and safety protocols. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately. Maintain accurate inventory movement records using scanners, logs, or warehouse management systems. Support production by staging materials, organizing storage areas, and keeping workspaces clean and compliant with safety standards. Required Abilities / Skills Ability to read and follow safety rules, load charts, and written instructions. Strong spatial awareness, hand–eye coordination, and ability to maneuver equipment in tight spaces. Ability to lift and move materials (often up to 50 lbs) and work on feet for extended periods. Reliable attention to detail for inventory tracking and identifying damaged materials. Certification or ability to obtain forklift certification; strong understanding of OSHA safety standards.
