Pharmacist Job Responsibilities: • Dispense and manage complex medications for patients with chronic, rare, or genetic conditions • Provide specialized counseling and education to patients on proper medication use, side effects, and potential drug interactions • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and monitor personalized treatment plans • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding specialty medications • Manage prior authorizations and insurance claims for high-cost specialty drugs • Monitor patient adherence and intervene when necessary to improve treatment outcomes • Participate in ongoing clinical programs and research initiatives • Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventories • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in specialty pharmaceuticals and treatment protocols • Assist in the development and implementation of patient care programs • Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions for patients • Manage and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff
