About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Operating Room License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: Experience with general surgeries (open and laparoscopic), including bowel, gallbladder, appendix, and hernias. Experience with urology, ENT, ophthalmology, and gynecologic surgeries, including C-sections. Experience in orthopedic surgeries, particularly orthopedic trauma and total joints. Experience with after-hours/on-call cases, including trauma, emergency C-sections, and emergency general cases. Description: Immediate start needed. Operating Room consists of 4 surgical rooms. Average number of cases performed per day is 10-12. Technical skills required include circulating and assisting in a variety of surgical procedures. Support on the unit includes a supervisor and an educator. Technology used includes an EMR system and IV pumps. Call is required for one shift per week and one weekend every 4-6 weeks for emergent cases only. Call back time is 30 minutes. Holidays require on-call availability. Schedule cycle occurs every 6 weeks.
