Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026. We are offering a Paediatric Registrar position at Bayside Health - Alfred Care Group. Alfred Care Group participates in the Victorian Paediatric Advanced Training (VPAT) centralised match for advanced trainees in Paediatrics in Victoria. Our training position will be appointed through the VPAT match and applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners. Sandringham Hospital, a member of Bayside Health, provides obstetric and neonatal services within the hospital which is governed by Peninsula Care Group under Bayside Health. The hospital offers a Level 3 Special Care Nursery supporting the Obstetric Service and caring for premature babies transferred from Level 4-5 nurseries. Position duties include: Management of level three neonates and maternity ward neonates. Attendance at emergency deliveries and outpatient clinics. Conducting general paediatric outpatient clinics twice a week and providing multidisciplinary developmental assessment at Alfred CYMHS. Quality assurance, audit activities and education and training of junior staff. No on‑call or after‑hours requirements.
