Physical Therapist II

Job Description Physical Therapist position in Outpatient Rehab. Evaluates and screens clients, designs and implements individualized physical therapy treatment programs, and performs therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, functional retraining, thermal and electric modalities, gait training, and other training skills. Conducts re‑evaluation, contributes to discharge planning, supervises students, technicians, and PTAs, and serves as a clinical resource and student program coordinator. Covers weekends in Acute Care. Responsibilities Evaluate patients after impairment, injury, or disease. Create individualized treatment plans based on evidence‑based practice. Re‑evaluate patients and provide periodic reassessment of progress; contribute to discharge planning. Supervise treatment provided by students and PTAs. Make recommendations for client care interventions to the interdisciplinary health‑care team. Delegate and instruct supportive personnel in services to be provided. Perform all other duties as requested by the manager. Provide timely documentation per department and insurance policy requirements. Use professional judgment to ensure safety to self, patients, and others. Complete at a minimum a department level project. Participate in quality initiatives. Qualifications 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist licensed in Kansas (Kansas State Board of Healing Arts). Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Certified in Lymphedema. Working Hours & Schedule Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; flexible schedule possible. Weekend rotations: typically 2 weekend shifts in an 8‑week period.
