Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories
• Assist in assessing surgical conditions through thorough interpretation of imaging and laboratory results
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to design and implement tailored surgical treatment strategies
• Provide vital intraoperative support by preparing operating rooms, positioning patients, and efficiently passing surgical instruments during operations
• Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wound care, planning discharges, and educating patients

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preferably, completion of clinical rotations focusing on surgical practices

Certifications Required

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications needed
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skill Set

• Strong understanding of surgical principles and aseptic techniques
• Proven capability to interpret diagnostic evaluations and assist in sophisticated clinical decision making
