As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying business needs and creating solutions for DHS program areas. The work includes: facilitating requirements sessions, analyzing and documenting business needs and business processes, capturing current and future state process flows, and creating artifacts which enable process improvements, project implementation, or program mission delivery. Selected candidate will be expected to provide business analysis expertise for multiple projects of varying scope and complexity. Work is self-initiated, conducted independently, and requires the ability to multi-task and lead project activities. In addition, the incumbent will need to communicate complex concepts to both Salary Information The starting pay is between $45.72 - $50.22 per hour (approximately between $95,100 and $104,400 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position position is classified as an IS Business Automation Specialist and is in pay schedule and range 07/33. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following: Experience facilitating requirements sessions (e.g. documenting business needs, developing user guides, developing industry standard business analysis artifacts such as business requirements definition (BRD), requirements traceability matrix (RTM), user stories, acceptance criteria, use case diagrams, data flow diagrams, etc.). Experience mapping business processes (e.g. capturing current and future state process flows, identifying process gaps and deficiencies, creating artifacts to enable process improvements, etc.). Experience working as a business analyst supporting both predictive and adaptive project implementations. Experience communicating complex or technical information to non-technical users and executives. In addition, highly qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following: Experience working with process improvement in either an information security or information technology domain. Experience working on a project over the entire lifecycle, from initiation through closure in a business analyst role. Experience working as a business analyst on multiple, concurrent projects Experience defining user stories, requirements, and gathering estimates on a project with at least 5 of the following workstreams: application development, identity/access management, infrastructure/networking, desktop support/customer service desk, telecommunication/mobile devices, information security, multiple program or department areas, customer/members of the public, marketing, legal team, purchasing, accounting, records management, communications office.
