Retail Sales Lead (All Positions) - HIRING EVENT

OVERVIEW

A new DICK'S House of Sport store is coming soon to Novi, MI. The Lead position plays a key role in executing brand standards and supporting teammate experience. The Lead reports to the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager. The Lead is the in‑store expert for their department and focuses on delivering best service to customers while guiding teammates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in‑store interviews and department tours. Builds a people‑first culture by connecting with every teammate to build trust, respect, and contribute to strong store recognition. Plans, organizes, and controls 30‑days of activities with guidance of Assistant Store Manager, aligning workforce to execute daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events. Leverages teammates strategically to meet brand standards, execute programs and processes daily, and delegate tasks based on priority. Upholds merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards. Assists store leadership with general supervision in accordance with company policies and procedures. Trains teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding and cross‑training. Prioritizes coaching and development, providing hands‑on coaching and explaining the "why" behind tasks, plans, and processes. Leads by example to support the organization’s vision, helping teammates align responsibilities with goals and deliver exceptional shopping experience. Creates an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected. Adheres to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, maintaining confidentiality of company information. Takes an all‑hands‑on‑deck approach to support the team across the store. Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior retail sales or customer‑focused experience preferred. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour). Ability to work extended periods (up to 4 hours) standing or walking. Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
