Principal AI Scientist

What you will do

• Being the technical leader for the data science team and relevant workstreams.
• Collaborating with medical experts, computational biologists, data scientists, software engineers, designers, and product managers to find opportunities for product innovation.
• Provide thought leadership and expertise in advanced AI (LLMs, deep learning, causal inference) applications to business problems.
• Rolling up your sleeves and working with the Data Science and Engineering teams to work on ambiguous problems as well as build high performing models.
• Translating business objectives into data and analytics solutions and generate business insights using appropriate data engineering and data science techniques.
• Delivering agile solutions in a fast-paced environment.

What we’d like you to bring to the table

• MS or PhD (preferred) in a quantitative field, e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering. Academic background in biology or computational biology is a strong bonus.
• 7+ years of industry experience building product components leveraging data and machine learning/AI.
• Expert-level knowledge in probability, statistical learning, and ML. Understanding of AI advances especially as applicable to the healthcare context is highly desirable.

Bonus

• Experience building and leading Experimentation best practices and capabilities across multiple platforms, products, and customer touch points.
• Experience with building product components in a cloud environment.
• Previous experience in healthcare and understanding of the digital health ecosystem.
