Payroll Administrator

Job Description A well-known Kansas City company seeks a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Administrator to join the team. Great benefits! Responsibilities Process payroll for employees accurately and on time Enter, maintain, and process information into the system regarding payroll When needed, make changes to employees' hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, and other compensation Maintain and update all paid leave and holiday, deductions, withholdings, and address changes Analyze payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Ensure union payroll wages, deductions, taxes, benefits, and job costing are correct Issue or reissue replacement checks or direct deposits when a payroll error occurs Prepare and submit reports on payroll metrics for management review. Address employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies or concerns promptly. Qualifications Proven 5+ years of experience in payroll administration Experience with ADP is preferred, but not required Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively. Familiarity with technical accounting principles related to payroll processing. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
