Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT scans and, as needed, general diagnostic radiology procedures under general supervision
• Clearly explain examination procedures to patients and ensure proper patient preparation
• Review clinical data, verify requisitions, and gather pertinent medical history from patients
• Set up equipment, analyze anatomical structure, and properly position patients for imaging
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for possible patient reactions, providing immediate care when necessary
• Assist radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies
• Maintain a well-prepared and stocked procedure room, ensuring all supplies are available and properly stored
• Demonstrate radiation protection principles, including patient shielding and use of ALARA techniques
• Manage and resolve image exceptions in PACS and ensure accurate, high-quality image delivery and study completion in the Radiology Information System
• Engage in open communication, display a positive attitude, and consistently demonstrate standards of excellence in team interactions
• Accurately document all relevant information in both medical records and radiology information systems

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a CT Technologist or in diagnostic imaging
• Current certification and licensure as required for CT Technologists
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and patient care procedures
• Experience with PACS/RIS systems and familiarity with sterile techniques
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team
