Deerfield Golf Club, located in Newark, DE, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Banquet Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance with production plan or forecast needs
- Wraps, dates, and rotates food items
- Utilizes whole food products, eliminating any waste
- Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas
- Alerts the chef or supervisor to any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner
- Requisitions inventory and receives supplies as necessary for daily production
- Ensures proper storage of food items
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
- Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- One to two years of prior experience in cooking or food production; certified culinary training is a plus
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and under pressure with organization and timing
- Strong communication skills
- Must have flexibility to work weekends and holidays
