Job Description
Title: Travel RN - Oncology

Schedule:
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Days: Monday to Friday
No weekends, no call

Assignment Details:
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Required certification: BLS
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Skills: Outpatient oncology care, chemotherapy administration (injections and oral), port/PICC/central line care, IV starts/maintenance, phlebotomy, Foley catheter management, neutropenic precautions, cytotoxic spill management, recognize and communicate abnormal labs
- Preferred skills: Experience with access and management of ports, post-surgical outpatient care

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to adults and geriatrics in an outpatient oncology clinic.
- Administer chemotherapy injections and manage oral chemotherapy.
- Perform biopsies and other small in-clinic procedures.
- Monitor patients for reactions and manage side effects of treatment.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and self-care post-treatment.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: Approximately 30 hours
- Pre-approved time off: 2 days; RTO restrictions: 7 days prior to time off request
- Urgent fingerprinting required upon booking; compliance deadline is strict
