Description

Sunlight Batteries USA is seeking a business-orientedAssociate General Counsel, US Operationsto serve as the primary legal advisor supporting all US activities. This role partners closely with executive leadership to provide practical, solutions-focused legal guidance that supports business growth, operational excellence, and compliance across Sunlight’s expanding US manufacturing and commercial footprint.

This is a high-impact leadership role offering direct visibility to senior leadership and meaningful influence on strategic decisions.

KeyResponsibilities

ServeastheleadlegaladvisorforallUSoperations,supportingmultiplefacilitiesandbusinessfunctions
PartnercloselywiththeUSCEOandleadershipteamtoprovidecounselonstrategicandoperationalinitiatives
Providelegalsupportacrosskeyareas,including:Commercialcontractsandagreements,Employmentandlabormatters,Regulatory,compliance,andEHSconsiderationswithinmanufacturingenvironments
Draft,review,andnegotiateabroadrangeofagreements,includingcustomer,supplier,logistics,andservicecontracts
Identifylegalrisksanddeliverpractical,business-focusedsolutionsalignedwithcompanyobjectives
Manageandoverseeexternallegalcounsel,includingengagementstrategyandlegalspend
Supportdevelopmentandexecutionofcomplianceprogramsalignedwithglobalstandardsandpolicies
Adviseondisputes,claims,andlitigationmatters,workingwithinternalstakeholdersandexternalpartnersasneeded
Collaboratewithgloballegalleadershiptoensurealignment,governanceconsistency,andbestpractices
SupportacultureofethicalbusinesspracticesandregulatorycomplianceacrossUSoperations

Qualifications

RequiredQualifications

JurisDoctor(JD)fromanaccreditedinstitution
ActivelicensetopracticelawinatleastoneUSjurisdiction
8+yearsoflegalexperience,includingexperiencesupportingbusinessoperations
Demonstratedexperiencein:Commercialcontractingandnegotiations,Employmentandlaborlaw
Providinglegalguidanceinoperationalenvironments
Abilitytooperateeffectivelyinahands-on,standalonelegalrole
Strongcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytoinfluenceandadviseseniorleadership
Provenabilitytobalancelegalriskwithbusinesspriorities
