Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Ambulatory Surgery Center PACU position requiring ACLS, PALS, and experience recovering phase 1 patients across pediatric to geriatric age groups. Requirements Active RN license (Oklahoma State or Compact/eNLC) Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications required Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required (2 years preferred) Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Excellent IV skills and experience instilling prescribed pupil-dilating drops Ability to manage airways and control pain or nausea in recovering patients Strong patient interview and assessment skills Responsibilities Work in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting Provide phase 1 PACU recovery care for surgical eye patients (cataracts, cornea, retina, glaucoma, plastics) Care for patients ranging in age from 6 months to 95 years Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly Assume responsibility for an assigned group of surgical patients Document patient responses to nursing interventions and note changes in physician orders Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood productsCommunicate care plans with patients and families throughout treatment and at discharge Delegate tasks to support staff as needed Must maintain a fast pace while working collaboratively as part of a team Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Returning travelers may extend once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-740516 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
