C/C++ Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer

Client is seeking an experienced C/C++ Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer with hands-on Hardware-in-the-Loop experience. This role supports real-time embedded systems, Linux-based environments, simulation systems, and software development for secure engineering applications.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support C/C++ software for real-time embedded systems.
• Work with Hardware-in-the-Loop systems in support of embedded software development and validation.
• Develop and troubleshoot software in Linux and real-time operating environments.
• Support simulation systems used for real-time embedded applications.
• Participate in full software development life cycle activities, including development, integration, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline and cross-functional engineering teams.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

• 4+ years of experience in real-time embedded software engineering.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C/C++.
• Experience with C++ version 11 or higher.
• Proficiency with Linux systems.
• Experience with real-time operating environments.
• Previous HWIL experience working with real-time embedded systems.
• Experience with simulation systems.

Preferred Skills or Experience

• Ada experience.
• Full software development life cycle experience.
• Experience working in cross-discipline or cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, or JIRA.
• Agile/Scrum experience.

Work Details

• Onsite role in Grand Prairie, TX.
• MFC location.
• Monday–Thursday 4/10A schedule.
