Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual needs, goals, and substance use histories, ensuring that treatment plans are patient-centered and recovery-focused.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
• Facilitate engaging individual counseling sessions that inspire and empower clients to make lasting changes in their lives.
• Lead group therapy sessions aimed at fostering peer support, sharing experiences, and learning coping strategies within a safe environment.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention support as needed during substance-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate assistance.
• Educate clients and their families about the complexities of addiction and provide resources that promote long-term recovery.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately, adhering to strict legal and ethical standards for patient confidentiality.
• Actively participate in team meetings, contribution to case consultations, and engage in ongoing professional development activities.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in substance use disorder treatment to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily focuses on individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The patients we serve vary widely, encompassing diverse backgrounds and experiences. As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in their recovery by tailoring therapeutic approaches that resonate with their unique journeys. You will work with clients who are navigating the nuances of addiction and recovery, requiring cultural sensitivity, empathy, and resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Solid understanding of substance use disorders, alongside comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based treatment strategies.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy in addiction treatment settings.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach toward clients.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.
• Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• A collaborative spirit, willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience delivering therapy in a telehealth setting.
• Familiarity with various evidence-based treatment modalities specific to substance use disorder.
• Experience working in group therapy settings with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
