DMLO is seeking an Experienced Tax Preparer to join our Louisville, KY office for the upcoming tax season (January – April 2027). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing individual and business tax returns, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This position is seasonal and can be part-time or full-time.

As an Experienced Tax Preparer, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and/or small businesses
• Analyzing financial documents and tax-related information to ensure accurate tax reporting
• Utilizing tax preparation software to complete returns efficiently and accurately
• Maintaining organized client files and documentation
• Meeting tax filing deadlines while managing a high-volume workload
• Collaborating with team members and provide support during peak filing periods

What do we look for?

• 2+ years tax preparation experience in a public accounting firm, tax practice, or similar environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, preferred
• CPA license preferred, but not required
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Integrity and strong work ethic
• Timely and accurate with close attention to detail
• Ability to balance multiple priorities well
• Team focus
• Positive attitude
