About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Model and AI Governance. This executive will be the enterprise leader responsible for establishing and overseeing the organization's framework for model governance, AI risk management, and responsible AI. The role involves providing independent second-line oversight of the use of models, advanced analytics, machine learning, and emerging AI technologies, ensuring their deployment is safe, ethical, transparent, and compliant. The successful candidate will partner with executive leadership and various functions to identify, assess, and govern AI-related risks, and will be a key advisor on emerging model and AI risks. Key responsibilities for the Associate Vice President include owning and enhancing the enterprise model governance framework, defining model risk appetite, and establishing standards for model validation. The role also requires the development and oversight of the organization's responsible AI framework, as well as the establishment of governance standards for AI use. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 15 years' of experience in relevant disciplines, and a strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their associated risks. Experience in a complex, highly regulated organization, particularly in the healthcare sector, is strongly preferred. The role demands a leader who can effectively communicate complex topics to executive and Board-level audiences and who is adept at leading a team and promoting a culture of responsible AI and sound model governance.
