RN - ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year required; 2 years preferred License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: First-timers accepted: YesWeekend Requirement: Every other weekend Description:The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit.Experience in various critical care procedures and patient management is required.The role includes responsibilities such as arterial line management, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, and management of ventilated patients.The nurse will also administer blood products and manage central lines and chronic/acute renal failure cases.Key skills include the interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, and managing cardiac drips.The nurse is expected to float within the unit float rotation to provide care as needed.The ability to work under pressure and effectively handle patient situations is essential.Flexibility to meet facility needs and provide essential nursing care in a demanding environment is required.Candidates should be prepared to work holidays as necessary based on the schedule. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
