Adjunct Instructor, Coding Specialist

The faculty must be certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist Physician-based (CCS-P) and must have at minimum, a baccalaureate degree. The faculty must have experience in curriculum development, instructional theory, evaluations, counseling of students, program management and other methods for obtaining student outcomes. Knowledgeable of the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) and AHIMA standards. Preferred Requirements Master’s degree preferred in HIT/HIM. At least three to five (3-5) years experience in teaching on a college level affiliated with an accredited HIT program. Experience with developing didactic and clinical outcomes/curricula on a program and course level. Excellent technology and classroom management skills.
