Salary: $125,000 - $175,000. About the Role We are seeking a hands‑on Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a fast‑paced manufacturing organization. This role manages day‑to‑day accounting functions, leads monthly close processes, maintains accurate cost accounting systems, and provides operational financial insight to support plant and company performance. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management Manage all day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and financial reporting. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial statements. Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls. Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors and tax advisors. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance Maintain and improve standard cost systems and product costing methodologies. Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, overhead, scrap and inventory adjustments. Partner with operations and plant leadership to improve cost controls and operational efficiency. Monitor inventory valuation, cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and inventory accuracy. Develop margin analysis and profitability reporting by product line, customer and plant. Support pricing analysis and operational decision‑making through financial data and KPI reporting. Operational Support Work closely with production, supply chain, purchasing, and warehouse teams to improve financial visibility and accountability. Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting and capital expenditure planning. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and enhanced reporting capabilities. Support ERP system optimization and continuous process improvements. Leadership & Team Oversight Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures. Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement within the finance team. #J-18808-Ljbffr CPS, Inc.
