CAMP FIRE IS HIRING!!
Great Opportunity for Part-Time Work. Qualified individuals needed for our After School Programs in Fort Worth. We work with great schools and are hiring for positions in our After School Programs!
This is a great option for After School professionals, stay-at-home Moms or Dads, retirees, college students, or school employees looking for extra income and more experience!
JOB SUMMARY:
Camp Fire First Texas is accepting resumes for Site Specialists (Teachers) for an After School programs located in Fort Worth, (76109). The hours are 2pm - 6pm, Monday-Friday.
This is a year-round position, although the hours and location are subject to change during summer months.
The After School Site Specialist (Teacher) is responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where social and self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged and individuality respected. You will be responsible for interacting with youth while assisting with homework, and leading small group activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with youth
- Must pass a criminal background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- College credit in child development, education, or related field
- CDA Certificate, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in child development, education or related field
- Bilingual, English - Spanish is a plus
- First Aid/CPR certified
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to implement curriculum with youth
- Ability to coordinate with other staff to provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment with fun and enriching activities
- Ability to work with school age youth with a maximum ratio of 20 youth per group
- Positive attitude
- Ability to communicate with a diverse population
- Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly, stand and walk for extended periods
