Maintenance Technician
This role focuses on performing industrial maintenance on complex automated machinery in a clean room assembly environment. You will train on 1st shift, work initially on 2nd shift, and then move to 3rd shift, ensuring the reliability, uptime, and safety of automated assembly equipment, robotics, and auxiliary systems in a modern, highly automated manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated assembly equipment, robotics, and auxiliary systems to ensure consistent and reliable operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production machinery in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and support adherence to production schedules.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and document all maintenance activities in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability, performance, and overall efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with clean room protocols and housekeeping standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and all applicable company safety policies.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, new installations, and continuous improvement projects to enhance automation and productivity.
- Use computer-based tools and systems to monitor equipment performance, record maintenance actions, and support troubleshooting activities.
- Work effectively across multiple shifts and communicate equipment status, issues, and completed work to other maintenance and production team members.
- Minimum 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience performing preventive and reactive maintenance on automated machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical maintenance skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including pneumatics (hydraulic experience also acceptable).
- Electrical maintenance experience on systems up to 480 volts, including three-phase power, motors, sensors, and vision/camera systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults on automated equipment and robotics.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot PLCs in a highly automated environment.
- Comfortable using computers and technical software tools to support troubleshooting and documentation.
- Experience working safely in an industrial setting with strict adherence to safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to follow and maintain clean room protocols and work effectively in a clean, controlled environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Willingness to train on 1st shift and work on 2nd and 3rd shifts as required.
- PLC programming experience is a strong plus.
- Robotic programming experience is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working in a clean room or highly controlled manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with vision and camera systems used in automated inspection or process control.
- Comfort working with advanced automation such as fully and semi-automated assembly lines and injection molding equipment.
- Openness to learning new technologies, systems, and processes in a rapidly evolving automated environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.

Work EnvironmentThe facility is a clean, organized, modern, and heavily automated plant with a dedicated clean room environment for fluid connector assembly. It is very well lit and fully climate controlled, providing a comfortable and professional setting. The site has recently undergone a 30,000 sq ft expansion that includes additional manufacturing and office space. Operations run three 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday: 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and 3rd shift from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. This position trains on 1st shift, then moves to 2nd and subsequently to 3rd shift. The plant features fully and semi-automated assembly processes and advanced equipment in a clean room environment. Clean room and facility rules include no smoking or vaping in the building or on company property (only in personal vehicles), no eating or drinking on the production floor (only clear water bottles with water; meals in the lunchroom), and specific personal grooming standards such as only natural nails without polish, tips, or acrylic. The overall environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, organization, and consistent adherence to established protocols.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
