Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a recent or upcoming grad for a Research Assistant position to join our Post Life team in Madison, WI!Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:15pmFlexibility to work overtime as neededJob Responsibilities:Trains in basic duties of necropsy and/or basic duties of histologyLearns applicable anatomic terms and the use of scientific languageLearns to perform various methods of euthanasia on multiple species according to USDA regulationsParticipates in quality controls and assures correction of errors (including documentation)Participate in monitoring and tracking resources (e.g., equipment, rooms, study supplies)Utilizes computer programs (forms and procedure generation) and systems (data capture)Demonstrates ability to multitask and manage time effectivelyAdapt techniques to new procedures or particular needs as directedLearn how to interpret a study protocolUnderstands the need to be open to changes in processes, culture, and workload demandsReports all animal care concerns and becomes involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action, when necessaryMaintains a safe and clean work environmentMaintains client confidentiality at all timesPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry OR Associate's degree in Veterinary TechnologyPreferred Qualifications6 months or more of experience with small and large animal dissections6 months or more of experience in animal handlingAdditional Job StandardsComfortable working in animal research facilityComfortable with performing small and large animal necropsyAbout the Team: Post Life ServicesIn this pre-clinical lab-based role you'll collect, document, and enter data that includes, macroscopic observations at necropsy, tissue collection and histology procedures.Pay: $23/hr.This is a future hire position with an future start date. The ideal candidate would be available to start in May 2027 through October 2027.
