Promotes a safe and clean interior/exterior physical environment and maintains unobstructed pathways while providing care. Assists with ambulation, transfers, and/or range of motion exercises. Assists with activities of daily living such as light meal preparation, socialization activities, and light homemaking chores related to direct patient care. Utilizes infection control measures such as hand washing, standard precautions, and use of personal protective equipment. Organizes self to carry out various visits, shifts, and/or tasks. Accompanies residents to/from appointments as requested and assigned. Reports any concerns or changes in the client’s condition and needs to the Nursing Supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor. Qualifications Required: Currently certified and registered with the Texas Nurse Aide Registry. Required: Possess current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Required: Valid Texas driver’s license with proof of insurance. Preferred: Current AED certification. Preferred: Prior experience working with geriatric and/or hospice patients. Work Schedule Work schedule normally coincides with one of three standard nursing shifts to allow coverage for a 24/7 operation. Exact duty hours are established by the Director of Nursing, and the Administrator and employees are advised of their schedules in advance.
