Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring general surgery circulating and scrubbing experience with on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room at a Level I Trauma Center and teaching, Magnet-designated hospital
• General OR cases including Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, MIS (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, Panc/Bili, and Bariatrics
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call required, approximately 4-6 call shifts per 4-week period
• Holiday on-call may be required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required in hand at start of contract
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Must be able to circulate and scrub general OR cases including Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, MIS (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, Panc/Bili, and Bariatrics
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Circulate and scrub general OR surgical cases across multiple specialties
• First-time travelers considered only with 5+ years of experience
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application, with approvals based on department needs
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per pay period
• During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
