Hiring Maintenance Technicians – Denver International Airport (DEN)

Step into an entry‑level industrial maintenance role supporting the baggage handling and conveyor systems that keep airport operations moving. This position is ideal for candidates with auto mechanic , mechanical aptitude , or other hands‑on experience who want to grow into an electro‑mechanical maintenance career.

Location: Denver International Airport (DEN)

Shift: Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday | Day & Night Shifts Available

Pay: $26.00/hr, opportunity for advancement

Qualifications:

• 1 year of mechanical or hands‑on experience (auto mechanic experience strongly preferred; industrial maintenance experience also accepted)
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools
• Willingness to learn mechanical and basic electrical concepts
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions

Job Description:

• Inspect equipment including belts, motors, carousels, and conveyors to ensure proper operation
• Clean and maintain conveyor areas by removing debris and keeping work zones safe and organized
• Assist technicians with repairs and emergency maintenance calls
• Replace basic components such as belts, covers, and bearings under supervision
• Clear baggage jams and safely reset equipment
• Use hand tools to make simple mechanical adjustments
• Communicate equipment issues clearly with the maintenance team
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Participate in ongoing training to build mechanical and technical skills

Work Environment:

• This role is performed on‑site at an active airport around moving machinery, baggage handling systems, and electrical components.
• Work involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and operating in confined, elevated, dirty, or hot spaces.
• Technicians must maintain constant awareness around live electrical areas and moving equipment while consistently using required PPE.
• The job is physically demanding, with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.

Security Requirements (Mandatory):

All candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DEN airport security badge, which includes:

• Drug screening
• Driver’s license check and validation
• Ten‑year Records Check (CHRC)
• Federal fingerprinting
• Security threat assessment
• Completion of all airport badging processes

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO 80249.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
