As a Lab Technician, you’ll play an important role in ensuring the safety and quality of medical devices used every day:

• Perform laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
• Conduct hands-on testing such as tensile strength, absorption, and water resistance for surgical materials (e.g., gowns and drapes)
• Operate and maintain lab equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and coordinate repairs when needed
• Accurately record and review test results following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvements
• Support a safe, clean, and compliant lab environment
• Collaborate with team members and communicate your findings clearly

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.) OR
• Associate degree in science plus hands-on experience in a regulated setting (customer service, retail, etc.)

Preferred Skills (we’ll help you grow these!):

• Familiarity with lab testing techniques or equipment
• Basic knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or regulated industries
• Comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

• Hands-on experience in a regulated medical device lab

• Work in a newly expanded 12,000 sq. ft. R&D facility

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday
• Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (with occasional flexibility to 8–4 or 9–5)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Libertyville, IL.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
