Supervisory Human Resources Specialist

Summary This position is located in the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer. The ideal candidate for this position will be providing oversight for the day-to-day supervision and oversight of human resources staff performing work related to personnel and payroll actions in an automated systems. Performing system quality control reviews to check the accuracy of personnel actions processed and interpretation of human resources management laws and regulations. Learn more about this agency Duties Help What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources. Typical assignments include:
- Serving as a first-line supervisor responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the Title V Section of the Processing Branch.
- Planning, controlling, directing, and coordinating the work of subordinate HR Specialist and HR Assistants engaged in carrying out the various functions within the Section, such as reviewing personnel actions, providing advisory on trends/issues, continuous evaluations of the effectiveness and adequacy of operations, work methods, and techniques.
- Advising the Branch Chief on the implications and feasibility of program/project plans and provide proposals and recommendations for resolutions.
- You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.

- Supervising or leading employees in initiating and processing personnel actions (e.g. promotions, resignations, pay changes, new hire actions, change in duty stations),
- Reviewing various types of personnel actions for accuracy
- Determining workload and managing assignments for team members; and
- Interpreting laws, rules, and regulations to advise managers and colleagues on handling of complex or unusual HR matters on personnel actions.
