Radiologic TechnologistScheduled Weekly Hours: 39Work Shift: Rotating Shifts (United States of America)Primary Function/General Purpose of PositionThis role performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. This is a multi-skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care under the direction of the provider.Essential Job FunctionsPerforms provider ordered radiographic examinations for specific anatomical parts allowed by obtained licensureConducts proper patient positioning, immobilization, utilizing appropriate radiation protectionDetermines and selects proper electronic and technical factors which safeguard the patient, x-ray tube, and equipment, and reports immediately any malfunction, necessary adjustments, or repairs of equipment to supervisorAssists in medical documentation and clinical assistant duties as directed and supervised by the ProviderParticipates in promotion of positive culture and teamwork and demonstrates excellence in care in all interactions, for both patients and internal teamsMaintains a safe and supportive environment by keeping the work area, exam rooms, and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe mannerUnderstands and adheres to the legal responsibilities and requirements within the roleTravels to other facilities if necessary or adjusting work hours to meet patient care needs as directed by the managerPerforms cross-functional duties as needed, including front desk duties such as registration, scheduling, answering phones and other duties not limited to scribing, ordering of suppliesThis document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
