Join the Paradigm Healthcare family, where you will be celebrated and supported every day.Job Duties:Plan, create, and implement meaningful and engaging facility activities for the residentsDesign programs to encourage socialization, entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment, as well as improve daily living skillsCreate systems to ensure that residents and families are informed about activities in the facilityEngage in one-on-one visits, care plan meetings, and assessments as neededKeep accurate records of activities, attendance, and calendarsRecruit, organize, coordinate volunteers for activitiesCreate, implement, and supervise processes to conduct meetings with residents and/or families as neededImplement hobbies, arts and crafts, and other activities with appropriate material to engage residentsPlan and arrange transportation for activities to other locales as necessaryMaintain up-to-date notes relating to activities provided to residentsMaintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents and interact with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect, and promotes a caring environmentAttend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directedMaintain a good relationship built on communication and teamwork with members from other departments within the facility to promote activitiesOversee the work of Activities Assistant(s) to accomplish the responsibilities of this positionRegularly meets with Activities Assistant(s) to review activities and progress as well as plan future activitiesCommunicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisorsBenefitsHealth insurancePaid time offDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceReferral programProfessional development assistanceRequired Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum 2 years of experience in a social or recreational programQualified therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional who is licensed and registered by the StateCertified as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional by a recognized accrediting bodyCurrent first aid and CPR certificationParadigm Healthcare was founded on the belief that by empowering each other, we can achieve more and provide better care to every patient we serve.
